Bring on the attitude! Who knew you could totally *feel a vibe* when you walk into a room?! I can confidently say that this is one of my personal favorite design styles. Dark and moody, aka rich and elegant. The “feels” you get walking into a rich, dark, moody, elegant room is overwhelmingly warm and captivating. Welcoming yet intimidating. The intense feeling of mystery takes over all of your senses. It makes you want to visually explore everything from the ceiling to the floor and all that is in between.

Each element in a design shine uniquely like a diamond. With kaleidoscope vision, everyone is attracted to a different color/ shape. Everyone will experience different sensations when they explore their “feels”.

No diamond is identical; They all start out the same way but transition into their own confident, individual piece of art. Cut, color, clarity, and carats are everything you need to specify when shopping for an extraordinary stone. Same applies to design. Designers design for you. We need to know color, look, and feel to create a beautifully individualistic design that takes your breath away.

Definition of Mood: A Temporary state of mind or feeling.
*MOODY:
Definition of Moody: Giving an impression of melancholy or mystery.
*MOODY INTERIORS:
Defined by dark colors like blues, purples, and grays. Depending on the hue, dark color palettes evoke distinct feelings and emotions.

Dark Paint: Darker the color, the moodier the vibe but Paint. It. All. [baseboards, crown molding, walls & ceiling]
Kicka$$ furniture [if you need help clarifying what this means - keep scrolling:)]
Sassy focal point [ex. headboard, artwork, Sofa or chairs, wallpaper, etc]
Bold Drapery Panels - Contrast them // For a more subtle approach, blend them in with the paint color but they have to have a different texture/feel
Daring Wallpaper: Don’t forget the ceiling! [big, bold, metallic]
Killer Chandelier: Pick one that is so awesome you can’t look away, like looking into the sun
Grand Floor Mirror: You want to show off that sassy room.. experience it from two different views at the same time:)
Classy Rug: With everything else going on listed above, I generally keep the rug fairly subtle. It normally plays a supporting role in the rest of the design.
